Coaching

Here, you can learn how to improve your game by accessing the Club’s coaching.

All new members are especially encouraged to engage with Tony Smith, the Club Coach, to have a 2-hour introductory session to learn the basic techniques so you get the most out of playing against other club members.

The basics of the game are straightforward. It is to get your boule as close to the jack as possible, but this isn’t so easy in practice. That is why coaching is available.

So, what does the introductory session include?

  1. The playing area
  2. Health and Safety.
  3. Physical capabilities of the player.
  4. How to hold the boule.
  5. What is the correct way to throw a boule?
  6. How to point in a standing position (low, mid & high).
  7. How to point in a crouching position (low, mid & high).
  8. Shooting
  9. Basic rules
  10. Finish with a game.

Individual or group coaching sessions can be arranged by emailing Tony Smith to arrange a preferred date and time.
