Club 100

This is your chance to support the advancement of the sport of petanque in Cardiff. The funds will be used to improve the club’s facilities at their base at the Penylan Club and to sponsor international tournaments held at the club.

By joining our Club 100 you will have the chance to win £150, £50 or £25 every month, once 100 members have registered. Currently we have 69 members so the monthly prizes are just 69% of these amounts. In addition 5% of all the income in a calendar year (currently almost £200) is set aside for the Christmas Bonus Draw which is drawn with the December draw.

To become a member all you have to do is complete the Standing Order (either by taking it to your bank or using the details to set it up yourself via online banking – in either case you will need a reference number from the Treasurer) on the Application Form. You must also complete the Registration form (also on the Application Form) and hand it to a member of the club’s committee or send it to the club.

The draw usually takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month but in some circumstances a few days later.

PLEASE NOTE:  Monkstone PC has changed its bank. Please DO NOT use the Bank Details on an application form dated 2024 or earlier. Your Standing Order will be rejected by our previous bank.

CLUB 100 Rules

  1. Individual numbers between 1 and 100 may be purchased for a subscription of £5 per number per month. If all 100 numbers are sold, further numbers will be added.
  2. Members may purchase as many numbers as they wish
  3. Numbers will be allocated when the Registration Form is issued but the number will not be entered in the draw until confirmation that the Standing Order is in place has been received. Members who use Online Banking should use the details on the application form. Members must ensure that the Standing Order is set up for payment on the 1st day of the month.
  4. All members must be over 16 years of age.
  5. The draw will take place on the third Wednesday of each month at the Penylan Club.
  6. Assuming 100 members there will be one monthly prize of £150, one of £50 and one of £25. If there are more or less than 100 members the prize money will be adjusted up or down pro rata to the actual number of members.
  7. Prize money will be paid by end of the month in which the draw takes place and will be delivered to the winners by hand or posted to them at the address given on the Registration Form.
  8. The winning numbers will be displayed at the Penylan Club and on the Monkstone Pétanque Club (MPC) website.
  9. There will be a bonus draw as part of the December draw. Members must have participated in the previous month’s (November) draw to be eligible to take part in the bonus draw.
  10. These Rules may be amended by the MPC Executive and members will be duly notified
  11. The decision of the MPC Executive is final in all matters that may arise.
