The 2018 Playing Calendar (accessible from the Calendar tab) has been updated to include more competitions and to confirm or revise some previously published provisional dates

Please come and support your club for the most important meeting of the year. All nominations have been received for Executive positions:

President , Secretary and Treasurer remain in place with no new nominations.

Contested are:

Publicity Officer: Judith Smith and Caren Baxter-Hicks

Club Coach: John Barnes and Tony Smith

Two additional committee members: 3 candidates have put themselves forward :  Carol Maroney, Peredur John and Alan Welch.

Come and vote for who you want. On the agenda is also the President’s address, Accounts for 2017, appointment of auditors, and any other business (not voted on).

This is an annual competition for WPA clubs, the winner of which has the opportunity to represent Wales in the European qualifying competition in July 2018. Our club’s executive unanimously decided that we will enter a team for the Welsh leg of the competition.  If you want to enter you need to be aware that you must commit to taking part in the Euro qualifier at your own expense should the club get through.  Details of the competition dates and other details are net yet available from the WPA but we will keep you posted.

For the information of newer members, this is an event for boulers to become bowlers for an afternoon as Penylan Bowls Club invite us to take a turn on the green. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played bowls before as you’ll be placed within a team of experienced bowlers and all bowls will be provided. It is always a very enjoyable afternoon. But numbers are limited, so if you want to take part you needed to have signed up on the notice located on the board just outside the bar.
