August 100 Club Draw

The August draw was made on 16 August 2023, at the Club. The lucky winners were:

1 Margaret Dyer £79.50
2 Stephen Osling £26.50
3 Gill Clark £13.25

The 100 Club continues to expand and we now have 53 members which is now the largest number of members ever and so the largest prize money pot with a monthly first prize of almost £80.  And remember there is a bonus draw in December for a prize of around £150 (depending on the number of members). If you are not a member please consider joining. The more people that join the bigger the prizes and the more improvements we can make to YOUR Club.

Monkstone PC Open Day

Monkstone Petanque Club will be holding an open day from 11am till 3pm on Saturday 19 August 2023 which is aimed mainly at the residents of Penylan and adjacent areas. Come along, have a go and see what the game of Petanque is all about. All the details are given below.

July 100 Club Draw

The June draw was made at the club todat, 17 July 2023, at the Club. The lucky winners were:

From the July draw, we have reached the magical number of 50 members of the 100 Club which continues to be the largest number of members ever and so the largest prize money pot with a monthly first prize of £75. We have a potential 2 or 3 members joing in August to make the prize pot even bigger. And remember there is a bonus draw in December for a prize of around £120 (depending on the neumber of members). Monkstone Open Triples

The annual Monkstone Open Triples were held on Sunday 2 July 2023 under blustery skies but the promised rain held off. !2 teams entered, 2 from Monkstone PC and 6 from other clubs.

The format was 3 pools of 4 in the morning with the best 8 qualifying for the Main elimination competition in the afternoon and the remaining 4 entering the Plate competition.

There was some very skillful play with some unexpected results. A big thank-you to all those who entered or helped make the event happen.
