Booking a Piste

  • All sessions must be pre-booked. You must not “turn-up” at the club premises without a confirmed booking. This includes the Monday morning Roll-up.
  • Singles & Doubles play is permitted
  • For Singles play, the names of both players must be entered. To book a solo practice session, please enter “Practice” as the second name.
  • For Doubles play, the names of both players from each team must be entered. Doubles play is now permitted between  players from up to 4 different households or extended households. 
  • Please remember that you should not arrive at the Club before your booked time and you should leave promptly at the end of your booked time
  • Members making bookings are asked to be mindful of other members who wish to play and not make block bookings particularly at popular times
  • Members must comply with Covid-19 “Safe Petanque Guidance” documents issued by the Monkstone Petanque Club which are available on the Documentation page. PLEASE BE AWARE,  WHEN PLAYING DOUBLES, OF THE ADDITIONAL ISSUES ARISING FROM THE NECESSITY TO SOCIAL DISTANCE BETWEEN ALL PLAYERS FROM DIFFERENT HOUSEHOLDS. PROTOCOLS FOR DOUBLES PLAY, WHICH MUST BE ADHERED TO, ARE INCLUDED IN THE GUIDANCE DOCUMENTS 
  • Members must also comply with applicable Welsh Government Regulations
  • IF YOU ARE BOOKING 2 SESSIONS, PLEASE MAKE 2 SEPARATE BOOKINGS AS IT IS DIFFICULT TO SUBSEQUENTLY CANCEL 1 OF THE BOOKINGS IF THEY ARE MADE TOGETHER.
  • Please remember that the booking system also serves as a record of who was playing and when. This would be very important in the event of a incident of Covid-19 infection. If you make a booking for practice or singles and then later add someone to that booking you MUST specifically advise Bernard Adshead by email on treasurer [at] monkstonepetanque [dot] org [dot] uk, or via WhatsApp on 07768317057, so that the records can be updated. Please do not assume that it will be picked up from other exchanges of e-mails or WhatsApp messages.

PLEASE NOTE:  YOU CANNOT CANCEL OR AMEND A BOOKING AFTER YOU HAVE PRESSED THE “SUBMIT” BUTTON. TO CANCEL OR AMEND AT THIS STAGE YOU MUST SEND A MESSAGE TO BERNARD ASKING HIM TO CANCEL THE BOOKING AND, IF REQUIRED, YOU MUST MAKE A NEW BOOKING.
