On a bitterly cold day last Sunday at Pontyclun PC a team from Monkstone PC ran out as the 2018 WPA National Veterans’ Champions.
The team consisting of Roger Griffin, Tony Smith, Vickie Adshead & Bernard Adshead won all 5 of their games for a commanding victory and, along with Wenvoe PC who were placed second, will now be invited to represent Wales in the Veterans Nations Cup run by the Dutch Petanque Federation (NJBB) at Schijindel South Holland On 13th – 14th – 15th April.

After battling hard all day the top four results were:
