Round 8 of the Super League was played out this week.<\/p>\n

Tuesday saw Mercenaries take on Mammoths in a match where the final score didn’t reflect what was a fairly close contest. The 4-0 win to Mercenaries made it look like a walkover but the points [52-39] showed it was not all it appeared.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday evening Mavericks took on Mustangs with both\u00a0 teams unbeaten since the restart after the winter break. And so it remained with match ending at 2-2 although with the points at [48-36] to Mustangs it seems as though it should have been a Mustang victory.<\/p>\n

The final match of the round on Thursday evening was between Meerkats and Marlins. This was a top v bottom clash which should, on paper, have gone to Marlins. The forecast proved correct with Marlins taking the match 3-1 [48-30].<\/p>\n

With only 2 rounds remaining, well done to Marlins who confirmed their position as League winners for 2023\/24.<\/p>\n
