It wasn&#8217;t to be, however, as the match ended in a 2-2 draw [40-41].<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Wednesday evening there was another double header with\u00a0 Marlins v Mercenaries and Meerkats v Mavericks. The first of these was a top v bottom clash and the result went to form as Marlins took the match 3-1 although Mercenaries put in a strong showing with the points at [44-42]. In the second game Mavericks were looking to capitalise on the previous evenings draw. Mavericks set themselves up well, coming from behind in both the\u00a0 opening games to snatch a win.
