Monkstone P\u00e9tanque Club is a well known p\u00e9tanque\u00a0club in Cardiff, south-east Wales.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

The club has over 100 members ranging from the social player to the Welsh international. P\u00e9tanque is an easy game to learn and is suitable for all ages; it is also one of the few sports where men and women can compete equally. Above all, p\u00e9tanque is a great game to play at any level. The Monkstone Club is affiliated to the sport’s governing body in Wales, the<\/span> Welsh P\u00e9tanque Association<\/a><\/strong> (WPA), which organises regular competitions throughout the season, so there are many opportunities to enjoy and improve your game. A number of Monkstone members who started as novices now represent Wales both at home and abroad.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

New players, currently we have a membership waiting list, will always receive a warm welcome in the club, and you don’t have to worry about buying boules initially as these can be loaned for you to try until you find the one that suits you. You will also find that the wider p\u00e9tanque community within South Wales is very friendly and supportive.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Our club has the benefit of having a bar on site (subject to bar opening hours)<\/em>, a great place to unwind after a game and explain over a pint why you didn’t deserve to lose!<\/span><\/p>\r\n
