{"id":1898,"date":"2018-03-02T16:13:23","date_gmt":"2018-03-02T16:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.monkstonepetanque.org.uk\/?page_id=1898"},"modified":"2026-02-26T22:15:36","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T22:15:36","slug":"competitions-2-2-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.monkstonepetanque.org.uk\/?page_id=1898","title":{"rendered":"Monkstone Open Competitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Club will hold its usual open competitions in 2026 as follows<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>12 April 2026<\/strong> &#8211; Monkstone Open Doubles.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>21 June 2026<\/strong> &#8211; Monkstone Open Triples<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>ENTRY PROCEDURE:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To enter the Monkstone Open competitions, please use the appropriate form below.<\/li>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">If your entry has been received by the Organiser you will see a confirmation message after you press &#8220;Submit&#8221;<\/li>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You will also receive an email confirming that your entry has been received<\/li>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">If this confirming email is not received then your entry has not registered and you should try again. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please note that it may take up to 1 hour for you to receive your confirmation email. Please wait for this period to elapse before resubmitting your entry.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Acceptance of any entry is at the sole discretion of the Organiser.<\/li>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The closing date for entries is 12 noon, on the Thursday\u00a0 before the competition (or as specifically advertised). <strong>ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>Entry Fee \u00a35 per player &#8211; CASH or CARD payment on the day<\/li>\r\n<li>Under FIPJP Rules, Teams of 2 or 3 are permitted in Doubles and Teams of 3 or 4 in Triples.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The consumption of alcohol not purchased on the site is strictly prohibited<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>OTHER INFORMATION <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(May be amended by specific competition published notification)<strong>:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Registration 9:00 &#8211; 9:30am<\/li>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Format <em>(subject to number of entries)<\/em> &#8211; Pool games in the morning followed by elimination rounds in the afternoon<\/li>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cash Prizes \u2013 Raffle<\/li>\r\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tea &amp; Coffee available. Monkstone PC is trying to reduce its carbon footprint.
